cheap and it works easy to put up and take down

Set this up for an overnight stay at a local beach. It worked really well because it was a light pack, easy set up and breakdown.

I really really like this. Everything about it is nicer than I expected for the money. I was even surprised at the poles especially, they are metal (yet light weight) and more sturdy than anything I've owned before. And I've owned some tents that cost double this one.
My main reason for getting a new tent was water resistance - my old ones were getting leaky after many many years of use. So far using it I've only had it out in brief light rain - so obviously not the best test there. (Yes, everything stayed perfectly dry.) But judging from the quality and the material, I feel totally confident it'll keep me and my stuff dry in heavy rain too.
I just love the symmetrical design of it, as well. Doors on both sides means you don't have to pay attention to how you're orienting it setting it up. It means you can go in and out the other side. If you're sharing with somebody you can get out on your own side without interrupting them. When it dawned on me how much I like the two-door design, it really got me thinking - why haven't I noticed a tent with two doors before? Why doesn't EVERY tent have two doors? It seems like a no brainer feature to add that I never realized I needed.

easy set up, easy takedown.

Very impressed with this tent so far. Bought it for teenage daughters to have their own space when camping. Sprayed it with camp dry. First night we were caught in a six hour mountain thunder storm and they were completely dry. Overall, very happy with this purchase, fits my needs well.

Great tent. Easy to setup. Really good value.

Purchased this tent for my kids. They are in the Boy Scouts. They use it every time they go camping and they like it because its easy to assemble and set up. Easier than the older style dome tents which were a little bit more fiddly in setting up and connecting the tent poles. They like it because of the clip on fly sheet and because of the ease of set up. Its also pretty light. Equal to or better than any other tent that I have used myself or they have used previously. Its a good tent for the money So far its holding up pretty well fingers crossed. I did actually add a little bit of extra waterproofing spray myself just to be sure they didnt get wet during the torrential down pours in the mountains. So far so good.

Got this tent for a light weight option to take on scouting trips. First night it rained. Next night the temperature dropped. This tent performed better than I expected.
My tent stood out with the bright color and I love the overhang of the rain tarp. This allowed me to leave my dirty hiking shoes outside the tent, and still keep them out of the rain. The pocket for my glasses was nice to have. I got the two person version and it was enough room for me and my gear.
It was easy to set up, but those poles are long. Before you slide them into set up the tent, be careful you do not smack your neighbors like I did. The size of the tent was fine for me (I am 511). I did have a thicker air mattress so it pushed me closer to the arch of the tent and I did brush my head on the tent when laying down.
Overall it is a great buy for this price. I will let my son use it more than myself so we will see if it holds up. I expect it will, but you know kids.

I bought these tents for our family backpacking adventure up Mount Whitney. I didnt want to spend a ton of money and the reviews seemed okay. I did buy an emergency blanket from Walmart to use as a footprint for the tent. Perfect size for my husband and me in one tent and our 3 kids in the other.
We ended up in a major rain storm the first night and to my delight everyone stayed completely dry. Set up was very easy and fast which was great! The second night a little more rain, some hail, and wind. Again, everything was dry and we all were plenty warm. The space created with the rain fly was perfect to put our packs and keep them out of the elements too.
I would definitely recommend this tent!

Good buy for the price. Great 3F

It has been rained on during almost every camping trip and stayed completely dry, inside. As a "two person" tent, it is the perfect size to fit his sleeping pad, sleeping bag, and gear comfortably. It is almost completely screen under the rain fly, so for daytime in hot weather (and we are in Texas), it is nice to have the ventilation. Not much for privacy, but the fly pops on and off easily, so it is simply a matter of modifying to the needs of the moment. He can just unclip the fly in one side and slide it to the other side. As it is still attached on one side, it is not at risk of blowing away.

I packed it on my motorcycle, I have a givi trunk. Assembly was quick, but I assembled it once before at home. The ground was like concrete, so I at first went without stakes but a storm threatened. I bent most of the stakes but in fairness the ground wasn't helping. Oh, the storm blew over. It was humid and there was no ventilation with the fly on. Once it cooled down it was great. No condensation! I was impressed. All in all, Ill keep using it till it falls apart and then get a new one or get two and use one as a spare. Either way, your saving $$.

Good design, dry tent.

Man o man i got this tent and went camping for a few days little did i know storms were going to hit while i was out there ....outside the tent was chaos wind rain hail all the good stuff but when i went in the tent it was as if a storm was not even happening so the structure and sturdyness is awesome..Recommending to friends

Worth the investment. Fantastic Tent. All around easy set up. Has not been through the rain yet, but has seen some high winds. Used it now on several backpacking trips and couldn't be happier.

Super easy and fast to set up. The two person, comfortably fit three of us. Condensation was a non issue with the vents, and baptism by fire, it poured on us half the night, no leaks at all!

Absolutely fantastic. Having two vestibules is life changing. My husband and I LOVED this tent instantly. We are serious backpackers.
Roomy, easy setup, simple design, effective and lightweight especially considering the size! I recomend watching some of the youtube videos about this tent if you are shopping around. I am SO glad we bought this tent.

The inner tent has good air permeability

I used this a couple of weeks ago in the hight of summer in New Zealand. It was light, fast to setup, and kept us cool and safe from the multitude of sandflys trying to get to us. I like this tent as a light option to take tramping even if we are planning to sleep in huts. With the openness of the tent, it really suits 3 of New Zealand's seasons and even maybe winter in lower and warmer areas.
Cameron
Ive been wanting one of these tents! Thanks for making the whole process simple!

Wow... This was a difficult buying decision as there are so many tents out there and they are all over the place on price. I knew I wanted a full covering rainfly... that was a must. Why the Wow? For 180 bucks I got an incredibly designed and constructed backpacking tent that just flat out performs in every imaginable way. Clearly this tent was designed by someone who camps and cares...

This tent is the perfect fit for me, at 54, mg 62 husband and our 40 lb dog who I swear takes up more room than my husband. The doors on either side make it SO easy to wake up and go pee in the middle of the night without climbing over anyone. The size is just right, head space just right, the material is high quality and Ive gotten the setup down to a science I can get this thing up in less than 5 minutes probably. Seriously love it.
Gesch
Overall, I am REALLY pleased with this purchase. I'm afraid I'll never be able to "upgrade" to a lighter option for backpacking because I feel spoiled by the spaciousness and the features of this one. None of the other free standing 2-person tent options impressed me much.
Jen McKenna
While camping with my friends, we had one day that was VERY windy. We were set up on a beach, staked into sand. Their tents all had some fly stakes pull loose here and there, but the stakes on my tent all held firm, despite just being lightweight aluminum stakes. It might be the fact that the fly on this tent comes down so close to the ground all the way around; less space for the wind to get underneath and lift up. I was highly pleased by how well this tent withheld the wind.

Easiest Tent I ever owned to put up and down
Spears
Currently camped out inside this tent. It is 12:37am and I just experienced an onslaught of wind up to 40mph. Definitely was a scary experience especially for a newbie and to be in a new tent. But this held up and it held up well. Stakes did their job and the lightweight poles were durable.
Nelson
Spaceous! You can definitely fit 2 adults in this tent. The vestibules provide additional room for storage, but don't expect to put your gear and another person inside the tent. I love it as a single-person, so I can spread out my gear and sleep comfortably. Breezy! The mesh allows tons of airflow. I've seen other models of this where the mesh is much higher up. This model gets great airflow. Super easy to setup!

I bought this tent for a 3-night camping trip with friends, where I knew I'd want my own tent.

We took it with us to camp on the beach in Dominican Republic. It held up just fine, however, we never experienced any rain or bad weather, so I couldn't tell you how well it does with that, but with the way the rain fly wraps around it, I can't imagine there would be any issues. we loved this tent because of how much mesh there is, it was perfect for the warm mornings, the breeze would just flow through the whole tent and the mesh is also small enough to keep out any tiny bugs. And i felt like it fit the two of us with our two sleeping pads and sleeping bags well, id say any other camp luggage would have to go outside of the tent, large backpacks wouldn't fit so great. id say its an excellent buy for the price!!
Bil
Their customer service has proven to be of the highest quality just as the replacement tent they provided. Thank you James and your hard working staff.
Cleaning
For a beginner backpacker I feel like this is decent. Ive used it on one trip so far. Carried it alone, and set up alone in about 5 minutes without issue. There is a lot of mesh and the wind can get up under the rain fly so its not the warmest tent. Also I may need to waterproof it a bit better. I didnt get wet inside, but there was a LOT of dew that accumulated on the fly and it started to stick to the tent
Gardner
Really happy with this tent. I took it on a backpacking trip for the first time last weekend and it worked flawlessly. Super easy to setup. Great value. Im 6 3 and wish the tent was six inches longer. Otherwise, perfect tent for me. I used it as a one person and also kept my belongings inside.

Light weight, easy to assemble and nice huge door.

Wow, really impressed with this tent. I wanted a lightweight 2 person backpacking tent and compared 8 different tents. All the 8 tents that made the list were great and all would have worked really well. All were under 5lbs. I wanted in that 4-5lb range, small stuff sack, ideally 2 doors and a vestibule on each side. 3 of the 8 only had 1 door and would have worked but from experience its nice having two doors. Case one person wants to get up in the night without having to climb over the other. Also, if a zipper ever fails, or the wind direction changes and you have wind/rain pouring in one door side its nice to have another option. 3f is great

I like it a lot, have two small cute air vent, I think this is good for one person as comfortable since I'm 5,7 height but can barely fit two person tho.. for tall people, not gonna comfortable with this one ... very nice fabric too

I did a lot of research. Looking for a lightweight budget backpacking tent. I read the reviews & did some video research. And decided on this tent. When I receive the Tent . I was amazed at The compact size of it. I immediately got it out set it up on my patio. In less than five minutes with the rain fly. Needless to say the tent is amazing. Is room enough for two without gear inside. Plenty of room for one person with their gear inside. The vestibules Put your pack down. I ordered the Footprint separately. Needless to say this A great backpacking tent.

I was scared to invest in a tent and try it out for my first time on my actual trip. Dumb idea, but I'm glad it worked out. It was very light weight, perfect size for my husband and I (he's 5'11 and I'm 5'8). We both commented on it's durability on the last night when we were hit with crazy winds. It held up extremely well. Also, very easy set up and dismantle. Very happy with this purchase. Can't wait to use it again!

After 20 years of service my NorthFace SlickRock finally gave up the ghost and needed replacement. My primary requirements were 1. less than 5lbs, 2. reasonable-sized vestibule areas, 3. good ventilation.

We bought this tent for a week-long bike packing trip. We needed something very lightweight and easy to set up and take down and this did the trick. We slept 2 people in this bag with 2 inflatable sleeping pads. There was no additional room inside the tent. In hindsight, we had wished we had purchased the 3-person tent to allow more room for our gear, but I did not deduct any stars for this as that was my own doing. My rainfly did come with a manufacturing flaw, but when I submitted pictures to the seller, they sent me a new rainfly. Their customer service was quite responsive, so I did not deduct any stars for the rainfly. All in all, it was a good little tent and well made. I'm sure I'll be using it again on another trip.

Super easy to set up and disassemble, very large tent, great quality!

So, for the time that I've used it so far, no leaks or other issues. Despite the heavy rain that I got, no water got in the tent. The fly does not touch the inner tent anywhere, though it may *seem* like it touches on the side; it doesn't.

I bought this for me and my fianc to backpack with. Its worked out perfectly for us for many reasons. Its ultra lightweight, has 2 doors, 2 vestibules, super easy setup and durable.
I felt completely safe in a pretty bad wind storm with it all guyed down.
Im 62 and have plenty of room. The stakes that came with it have worked great and the foot print has been strong and durable.
In one photo you can see where we used the rain fly as a tarp real quick to shelter from a rain storm.

Toe Knee
Well constructed. Good job on the seams. Double stitched. High bathtub. Exceptionally light weight for the size. Packs down small. The only con is that its a one pole system thats very rigid. It will pull in on itself if not staked down. Overall though its comparable to tents that cost far more money.
