I purchased this tent for my boyfriend to set up in our back yard near the fire pit to camp with kids in the family.He will also take it with him on canoe trips.He absolutely loves the style,the fabric,the ease of set up and the roomy interior. I read all the reviews and was quite impressed at how many people really loved the tent.It is no doubt one of the nicest tents I've seen for the price. Thanks for a good quality item!

I loved how easy this tent was to set up.

I got this tent to take off-grid camping in Nevada. We leave in a week, so I will update you with how it does! I set it up in my living room to check it out and wow! So easy to set up and much larger and roomier than I had thought it was going to be! Also was super easy to fold down and put away and it not only fit back in the bag I was not only able to zip the bag but also rehook the clips that kept the bag closed super tight! So far I am very impressed with this item.

Tent was extremely easy to setup and takedown. The only water I had inside was due to moisture and humidity, even had a rain storm the second night and the water stayed out just fine. Definitely recommend.

Most waterproof tent I have ever purchased! It rained for 4 days and 3 nights during our camping trip and this tent didnt leak once anywhere! Easy to set up, lots of room for us and the dog. Love it!

I loved the ease of set up and the fact that I could stand up inside. It packs back nicely into its carrying bag also.

Lightweight and water resistant. I slept in this for 10 nights, out of those 10 nights it��s poured heavily for 3 nights! Not one drop of water got inside. I like how it has windows to get some fresh air. VERY SPACIOUS!!! There��s enough room for you plus more.

Lightweight, easy to setup

This tent is awesome. My husband and I joked about how tents back in the 90s were so difficult to put together and how they would just naturally start the trip off on a bad note for the family haha. But this tent puts all those others to shame. It literally took more time staking it in, than popping the tent up. And taking it down is super easy. It was plenty of room for my husband. I loved that there were windows in all the panels of the tent, to allow air flow from any direction. No complaints here

not perfect

Due to the pandemic and furlough, our travel options were limited this year, then we came across this tent. Camping provides a safer, less expensive option to hotels and more flexibility on where we can travel this summer. I took the tent out of the package and set it up in our living room in less than two minutes. So much easier than our huge canvas tent! We can��t wait to see how this tent holds up to the elements outdoors.

We immediately opened this up and assemble it. It��s way easier and simple than the traditional tent!

Love the fact that it��s so easy to assemble , could be a little thicker but than I would have Just searched for a lighter tent and it still would have been this. I like it.

We've taken this out twice now, once was pouring down rain and everything stayed perfectly dry inside. Easy up, easy down, everything fits inside the travel bag easily. Nothing to dislike. Would recommend.

I'm a 62 year old grandma and my tent was up first. My grandkids were impressed! Great tent and so easy.

This tent is much, much lighter than I thought. The whole tent was packed in a relatively small box from Amazon and I hadn't known that there was a tent inside. In my opinion it is great for summer camp. Since it only has one layer, it is really not suitable for cold temperature. The construction is not very easy the first time. But the instructions are already detailed. The accessories are also of good quality. They hold up quite well after several uses. Since it's for an individual, I wasn't expecting large volumes. As I said, it's super easy. !!!!

Incredibly easy to set up! Easiest thing in my campsite too. Fits back into the bag if you fold it right and stuff it. I recommend it.

Light weight and good craftsmanship. The aluminum poles are impressive and little details such as the clever hooks for attaching the tent and adjusting the guylines. The zippers for the ��rain fly�� and door can be a little tricky as they like to get stuck. I��m 6��2�� and the tent is just adequate in length, and when I sit up I usually hit my head on the wall above me. It doesn��t hurt of course, but can be annoying, especially since I got quite a bit of condensation. Nice sturdy, very lightweight aluminum stakes are included but They have an indentation where they can break as one did for me. Small size when packed. Clever second ��vestibule��. But what the heck is the point of the ��skirts��?!

The tent is a good size and yet spacious to allow all 2 of my kids inside and will be perfect for backyard camp outs.

Naturehike VIK 1 Person Ultralight 4 Season Backpacking Tents with Footprint is the real deal. I received mine two weeks ago and have camped with it once. It was 30 degrees, lots of wind and I was nice and warm in the tent. There wasn��t any condensation build up in the morning and that was nice to see. The tent has passed the heavy water test without any leaks. The tent with everything in the bag weighs 2lbs 15 ounces (1332.43 grams). The tent is easy to assemble and the pole ends are color coded for the ground cloth and tent body. The zippers are excellent quality, and zip easily. There��s a zipper access to the other vestibule for additional dry storage. Two roof top vents with real poles to keep it open when ventilation is needed. Another awesome feature is the magnet zipper flap closure, so much better than Velcro, and easier to work with. I��m 6�� tall and I can lay down without my head or feet hitting the ends. I can sit up in the tent with extra head room. The stitching on the tent was perfect, and no loose threads anywhere (Awesome Quality). I plan to use this tent every month until June, then going on a 12-day wilderness backpacking trip. I will continue to post updates to let everyone know how the tent holds up. Hope you make the right choice and pick this light weight tent.

This is a well constructed very lightweight tent for a very good price. But it is very short, I measure the inside base at 195cm (not 210 as advertised) and even at 178cm (5'10'') height both my head and feet scrape the ends; it slopes up from the ends more than a standard 2 pole design so the usable headspace is even less. On cold, still summer nights there was A LOT of condensation inside of course, even with the vents open and due to the short length both my hair and base of sleeping bag got a little damp. This is an issue, esp with a down bag (Ive picked up a water resistant tyvek bag cover from aliexpress). Headroom is also more limited than my other tents and I scrape my head on the roof sitting even with a 3cm thick mattress. The pole setup, with short upper cross pole is great and gives the feeling of a lot of interior space, much more than my 2 pole marmot titanium 1. On the other hand this tent is extremely weather proof, recently I had it in moderate to very heavy rain nonstop for an entire day with only the slightest beading of moisture along the head and foot ground seams. I was very impressed, this outperformed my marmot and macpac tents, although there was no wind so rain coming in from the vents wasnt an issue. On my scales the tent and poles weighted 860 grams, with the storage bag with everything else incl floor weighing another 300 grams (1.16 kg for everything). Highly recommend this tent but it needs to be at least 20 cms longer; if your tall be careful.

I'm just getting into camping and backpacking and I found this tent at a great value and being an amateur, I made the purchase. This tent has been so good to me! It comes with everything you need (poles, stakes, ground cloth, guy lines, rain fly). I had no problems with condensation, high winds, heavy rain, or any other weather related issues. You can't see through the rainfly from outside so you have plenty of privacy and space on the inside.

This is pretty large for a one-person. You'd find it very spacious, or a couple could realistically squeeze in, as could 2-3 small kids. The assembly is smooth: There's a double-forked main beam, plus one central which holds out a rain tarp. Zipper windows on both main sides. As shown in the pics, if you have sticks (e.g. walking sticks), you can easily rig the panel to be a sunblock. do not let the imperfect English bother you in the description: This is well made.

The first thing I noticed is that they got rid of the plastic window, which was probably smart, as that was typically the first component to fail with the tent. Other than that, it's a no-frills backpacking tent perfect for a beginner. I am 6'1 and my girlfriend is 5'0, and we fit. It was certainly tight but doable.

Buy it, it's awesome, fun and sturdy

Easy to pitch, stays dry, not too much condensation even in humid Florida! Like that the vestibules are on each side and that each side has its own door. The zippers seem strong. Was easy to repack into my I osprey 65L for hiking. This shelter is very competitive with any "big name brand" 2 man tent. I do not have any reservations about this being an "amazon special" or "cheapo" tent.

This tent is now my favorite for solo camping. I have taken this tent Car, Backpacking, Canoe and Kayak Camping. I have used this tent is hot summer, extreme wind, heavy rain and winter snow conditions. It has been excellent in all conditions. For it's footprint and price it is very light weight. The set up is easy and fast. The 3 pole design with sleeves and numerous anchor points makes it ROCK SOLID in the wind. I have used it for camping with my wife and it is a little too snug for 2 people but is spacious for solo camping and storing gear in your tent. You may be able to find lighter weight tents BUT the value for price makes this tent a winner. I would recommend naturehike tents to anyone.

I��m excited to see how it holds up in September when I take it out for its first backpacking trip.

There are a lot of tents on Amazon that claim to be "ultralight". This tent is just shy of 3LBS. Most decent 1 person ultralights are 2LBS but they cost 3X the price or more. So while 1 lb is a bit more, the tradeoff is going to be worth it t o many. I've been using a Winnie-the-Pooh tent for years because I'm frugal. So this tent is a HUGE step up. Lots of room for sleeping gear and stowing other gear.

Condensation can be problematic in heavy rain. Not a ton of extra room for pack.

What can I say about this tent? Sure, it��s heavier than an UL. But guess what? Everything else about this tent makes you forget about the extra couple pounds. And it��s not ��extra�� anyway. When the Naturehike describes this tent as ��rugged,�� they weren��t kidding!! I��ve had this on a ridge on the AT (Grassy Ridge bear Carver��s Gap) in February 2020 with HIGH winds and this sucker was steady as a tree. The heavier denier bottom means the footprint isn��t necessary (but is used when converting to the UL option with just the footprint, fly and poles - I��ve pitched it this way near and river and it was perfect).

When I first opened the tent, it felt super light, no strings dangling, and unbelieveable this is a FOUR season tent, everyone should buy one of these! Lol

Favorite Solo Camping Tent

This is a great little tent for kids, or for when space/weight are primary concern. Very nicely made and easy to set up.

This tent is awesome! Ultralightweight, & made nice materials! Very easy & quick to set up once you know-how. The doors have magnets in case you need to move gear quickly inside without having to zip & unzip. I slept out in it the other night without a blanket or sleeping bag. Considering it was -1 celsius I stayed pretty warm.

Fantastic tent. Bought for backpacking and am loving it. I'm 5'11 and have plenty of leg room. Stayed the night with my 4 year old daughter and we both had lots of space. Love how you can keep the rain fly off and get a great view of the sky. Packs up nicely and is durable.

I hope they do not raise the price after this comment. I did my amazon research and this is best tent for your buck, i mean best price.

Light, easy to set up. Camped at Zion for a week and have 0 complaints

Tried it a couple of times in the backyard and once on a hike. Heavy dew covered the tent in the morning and the water would seep in if you touched it anywhere. Vestibules could be larger to allow storage of full size backpack. Otherwise good design and construction quality is pretty good. Update: A friend borrowed it and used it on a trip to India and loved it. I've used it several times now including once in a heavy downpour. Kept me dry but the trick is to not touch the walls.

A fantastic, lightweight and robust tent! Included was a footprint, (ground sheet), the tent body, poles, stakes and guylines. Total weight on my scale was 2lb, 15oz, (1331 grams), after all of the packaging was removed. Setup is easy and intuitive. It only took me about 5 minutes the first time I did it. I haven't tried the tent out in any inclement weather yet so I cannot speak to it's waterproofness, but it seems fairly watertight. As a single walled tent, it may be susceptible to some degree of condensation, but at the same time it is quite well ventilated, so we'll see. It is billed as a 4 season tent due to the flaps that run along the bottom of the perimeter, which the manufacturer calls "snow skirts". I see no reason these wouldn't work in that capacity. The interior measures about 6' 6" X 3', so it is plenty big enough for one person to stretch out with room for some of your gear. The front vestibule is expandable to accommodate a regular sized pack and allow for cooking in really bad weather. There is also a smaller vestibule in the rear of the tent accessed by a small zipper for storing additional small items that dont fit inside. There is a small cell phone/flashlight pocket inside the tent, as well as a (very) small loop in the peak to hang a lantern. All in all, I am quite impressed with this tent and it represents an amazing value for the price.

For now I am leaving this at four-stars because we are unable to rain-rate it. It is super easy and quick to set up. It is very lightweight so staking it outdoors is a must. One of the reasons we wanted this tent in particular was the weight. It is well vented, with mesh screens to keep bugs out. Roomy enough for a 6'2 person and using a light pad under a sleeping bag and some room in the corners for smallish stuff. It was cozy enough and kept the wind out overnight at a 40 degree night. So, we are so far very pleased with the tent.

Excellent Tent for the Price

Minimum pegging requirements - good for rocky ground. Can be freestanding with no pegs, if you don't need the vestibules, 2 pegs if you do. More peg and guy options available for windy conditions. A very light tent considering the room - 1.1kg with the footprint, < 1kg without. Single skin means your sleeping bag may get wet from condensation but this can be managed. The potential condensation is the only drawback I can see for this tent however the other advantages far outweigh this.

It��s nice

If you are looking for a nice, lightweight, one man tent, this is a very good option. It's not perfect, but it's really nice. Setup is okay. It doesn't take too long, but I can't help but think that a two pole system would be easier and faster to setup. They tried to get fancy with this one and I'm not convinced that it's better. There is plenty of space inside the tent and the design is decent. It's easy enough to get in and out of. There is no smell out of the box. I've gotten tents in the past that you had to air out for days to get rid of the chemical / plastic stink. This one does not have that at all. You can use it right out of the box. The rain fly is pretty good and really adds a good deal of protection. You get plenty of stakes with this tent. I hate it when a maker skimps out and makes you buy your own. Value wise this is up there. I've checked out other one man tents. Some are cheaper, but for the quality you get here, I'd go with this one.

Great for the price!

Ok received my NatureHike Vik 1 and slept in in the other night, it got down around 45F so a lil cold for Jacksonville, Fl. So I think it was a good lil test for condensation . It��s the first time I��ve had a single wall tent so I vented it other than opening the door, a lil condensation did happen, I could feel it when I actually touched the walls but as soon as I��d open one side of the door it was gone in a really short time. I��ve learned that with the right sleep system I can keep the door open and screen shut and it��s just fine. Different thinking than a double wall tent. But with it all staked out, I can see it handling pretty rough conditions. But I��m really liking the sub 3 lbs action over my 5 plus pound MountainSmith Morrison 2p, which is a good tent but heavy for the my upcoming AT hike. I chose this instead of the CloudUp 2p which has gotten pretty good and unexpected ratings I��m thinking I made a good choice but it��s supposed to rain and be pretty nasty out later tonight so I��m gonna run it through it��s paces and see what I see.. I hope it will preform as good or better. I��ll post an up date on the results since there are not to many reviews out there on this one.

I took this little tent backpacking to Havasupai, AZ in November. Very light and so easy to set up. I didn't experience any condensation thanks to the little vents that open at the top. It rained lightly and it kept me dry, but I haven't tested it under strong rain yet. It's a one person tent, but so roomy! I kept my backpack inside at night, and still was comfortable to sleep in (I'm 5'3/135lbs). Totally recommended.

Disclaimer--I have not had this tent in the rain (I live in Arizona!) But, if by chance it needs additional seam sealing, I think it's definitely worth the price. Its design quality, materials and connections are all equivalent to higher end tents; and the best part--it is very light! Their trick, from what I can see, is the use of a single-walled design that is very breathable and made from a light weight nylon. The two poles easily hold up the tent while the two vestibules need to be staked. The tent came with its own footprint--included in the 35oz. pack weight. I imagine the person who plans to use this tent on the entire AT, or the PCT might want to test it out on shorter hikes first. I was skeptical, but now I'm impressed.

I bought this for bikepacking. I'm 6'3" and I was concerned about the fit, but it's just enough. I can sit up, change clothes, etc. Not a ton of room for a big lad, but adequate for one person hanging out, cooking, storing gear, whatever. Getting out is a little awkward for a tall person trying to duck low enough. Very lightweight. The fabric is just over one lb, the poles just under, so two lbs total. Adequate ventilation. Good vestibules. Free standing, easy to reposition or shake out, but requires two tie outs for door and rear vestibule. Door fly has two way zippers, single for screen (should be other way around). Packs small. Super easy to set up, color coded. Good strong fabric, expertly sewed. Comes with attachable ground sheet (another 6ozs), stakes (mine came with 15 stakes!), guy lines w/ adjusters, sack. All for less than 150 total, a terrific deal. Should be great for the Colorado trail.

The tent is easy to assemble, I like the zippers seem to be of a high quality. I've only slept in a couple of nights, it was about 40 degrees out, the tent stayed very warm inside, I had to open up the vent flaps. I haven't had it in the wind or rain yet, but I'm sure it's very stable. The walls and top of the tent are all screening, which I had some reservations about, but this would be a great tent in warm weather. It would be a tight fit for 2 people, it's great for myself and the dog. If you're 6 ' or taller you're proably going to have to lay on an angle to fit. Overall i am very happy with it.

It isn��t often a product lives up to your expectations, but this one does it! A high quality product with an odd vestibule option that wasn��t meant for me, but I use the staked down and fold back option with joy. The tents vents are an outside use only setup that results in a dry inside after a downpour! This second iteration is bound to please one person with a little gear brought inside!

Good design and construction and light weight

We are a scouting family. This tent was/is perfect for each of my boys. We bought 2 of them and they use them at least once a month. This is a great tent for 2 people but leaves no space for back packs. My older son is 6 foot and he will share his tent when needed, but prefers it to himself because it does narrow at the foot and he likes to keep his backpack in his tent. The footprint is a must with this item.

Best valued tent I've ever found!!!

My first impressions of the VIK 1 are mostly favorable. Here's what I've learned so far: Pros: - Affordable: compared to many of the other light and ultralight solo tents on the market, at $140 USD, this is very affordable - Lightweight: on my digital scale, the tent, aluminum frame, tent stakes, guy lines, footprint, and stuff sacks come to a combined weight of 1288 g / 45+ oz / 2.84 lb. That's pretty impressive at this price point. - Ease of set up: Very easy. It took me less than 4 minutes to set this up the very first time - it is so intuitive that there was no need to look at the instructions. It really is impressively easy. Just remember to twist the top crossbar so that it is resting on top of the main frame, rather than hanging underneath it. - Build quality: Too early to tell. Quality generally declares itself over time with durability and resistance to failure. Only time will tell. My initial impression, though, is that that workmanship and materials are of good quality. So, why not 5 stars? Cons: - Condensation: This is probably the biggest fault that most reviewers point out and, in fact, it is a real issue. I set this up in my backyard last night and spent the night in it. Temps dropped from upper 70's down to the mid 50's. I tend to sleep warm, so I had all vents and both the front and rear vestibules wide open. In the morning, the interior walls were very wet and the foot box of my sleeping bag was soaking wet where it had touched the tent wall. Even with the tent maximally vented, there was significant condensation present. - Font Vestibule: The attached tarp that provides the front vestibule only covers about half of the tent front door opening, which means that in rain - depending on how the wind was blowing - a good deal of the screened in front door would be open to the rain. Here in the Northeastern U.S., rain and cold are absolute givens - I would greatly prefer a tent with an awning that spans the entire length of the front of the tent. - Rear Vestibule: This is not a bad feature but, personally, I would have liked it to be just a bit more generous in terms of space. It would have been nice to have a larger rear screened in window to allow better cross ventilation. - Front Zipper: As other reviewers have pointed out, the front zipper is at the top in the closed position. What this means is that to access anything in the front vestibule, the screened door must be opened fully or nearly fully. It would have been a much better design to have put the zipper at the bottom when in the closed position. Initial Thoughts: Am I happy with this tent? Yeah, I really am. I think it is a good investment and the few cons are easily outweighed by the pros, particularly at a cost of $140 and with a < 3 lb. weight for the entire setup. That's not bad. I've noticed that many manufacturers of light or ultralight gear tend to crow about how little their products weigh, but fail to tell you that the weight of their super-duper-ultralight tent, which weighs less than a sneeze, doesn't include poles, stakes, footprint, lines, sacks, etc. So, If you're looking for a good, sub 3 lb. shelter system in the < $150 range, you would be hard pressed to find a better overall deal than this. I'll try to post an update in a few months or so after I've had a bit more experience with this.

We just took this camping to Acadia National park where we camped for 6 days. It was raining and windy the whole time and the tent held nicely. We placed a tarp underneath the tent as the bottom liner is thin (as with most tents) and placed a large tarp overhead as well. We had 20F degree sleeping bags in 50-60F degree weather and we were toasty warm. It fits two people comfortably. Having to opening flaps is really convenient for the late night pee and not wanting to disturb your partner. Overall looking forward to using it more this summer and fall.
